Oakton appoints David Mathews to head up ACT business

Listed Australian consulting and technology firm Oakton has appointed 25-year business and IT veteran David Mathews as Executive General Manager for the ACT.

Mathews, who joined Oakton (ASX:OKN) in July last year as Director of Services, co-founded Crystal Approach, a Canberra-based software solutions company which was sold in late 2012. Prior to that, he was ACT Branch Manager and National Head of Managed Services for Praxa and also worked with ACT based SMEs and as a senior consultant with a national consulting firm.

Mathews is currently the Chair of CollabIT, an ACT Government and Australian Information Industry Association initiative to help drive growth in the ICT sector, and is also a member of the Innovation Taskforce of the Canberra Business Council.

“David’s considerable track record of achievements in the ACT market are known and recognised by clients so we are delighted that a person of David’s calibre will be leading and managing this very important part of our business,” said Neil Wilson, CEO and Managing Director, Oakton.
