Mathews, who joined Oakton (ASX:OKN) in July last year as Director of Services, co-founded Crystal Approach, a Canberra-based software solutions company which was sold in late 2012. Prior to that, he was ACT Branch Manager and National Head of Managed Services for Praxa and also worked with ACT based SMEs and as a senior consultant with a national consulting firm.
Mathews is currently the Chair of CollabIT, an ACT Government and Australian Information Industry Association initiative to help drive growth in the ICT sector, and is also a member of the Innovation Taskforce of the Canberra Business Council.
“David’s considerable track record of achievements in the ACT market are known and recognised by clients so we are delighted that a person of David’s calibre will be leading and managing this very important part of our business,” said Neil Wilson, CEO and Managing Director, Oakton.
“Oakton first and foremost focuses on our clients’ business objectives and in my experience this approach delivers targeted and high value outcomes, particularly when government is more than ever looking to drive business efficiencies, increased productivity and enhanced citizen engagement.”
