Migliorini takes the helm at Versent

Digital transformation and cloud specialist Versent has appointed Paul Migliorini to the role of CEO.

"Paul and I have been working together closely over the past year to set the direction of this company and to help evolve it to where it is today," said Versent founder, outgoing CEO and now chairman Thor Essman.

"Paul and I share common values and a common vision, as well as a belligerent commitment to customer success. Paul's extensive experience in building technology scale-ups is vital to the next stage of Versent's growth. Therefore it is with great pride and excitement that I pass the baton to Paul to carry on the next stage of Versent growth, and look forward to teaming with him and seeing just how far we can take this revolution together."

Migliorini joined Versent as a non-executive director in October 2020. He previously spent five years as ANZ and APJ managing director of Amazon Web Services.

Before joining AWS, he served as ANZ CEO of IWG, regional managing director at BT Global Services, business development director at Motorola Applications, and as a consultant at EY.

He is also a non-executive director of Hub Australia, and a venture partner at Our Innovation Fund.

Migliorini holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Melbourne.

"I am humbled to receive this appointment to company CEO with full support from the board," he said.

"It has been a privilege to work alongside Thor, the Versent board and our team over the past year to build this strong foundation upon which we will further accelerate our growth and impact for customers.

"Versent was founded on the principles of earning customer trust through a deep investment in engineering excellence, an awesome culture and a strong commitment to long term customer success – 'done done'.

"Today the team has grown to over 500 of the very best diverse talent delivering amazing customer outcomes across ANZ and South East Asia. I am deeply excited to join this exceptional team as we look to build the world's best customer technology partner. I know this will be guided by the same principles that helped us build the Versent we are today."
