Digital Lifecycle appoints Nigel Peach to new role

The Digital Lifecycle Group has appointed 35-year IT industry veteran Nigel Peach as partner for managed services.

Peach has business experience across both large global IT vendors as well as smaller start-up ventures. He was previously general manager – Business Partners ANZ at IBM and prior to that was ANZ country manager and APJ Regional Alliances director for Pure Storage. Peach has also held senior positions at Servian and EMC.

DLG says Peach’s new role will involve the establishment of the company’s brand as a “recognised data-driven sourcing organisation, with a focus on ongoing supplier value management in the digital world”.

Ian Woollett, executive chairman of Digital Lifecycle Group, and founder of CDRU, said, “Peach brings significant industry and commercial expertise to the Group, but most importantly his specialist expertise in sourcing and knowledge of the IT landscape and the suppliers within in it, will uniquely position the Group to deliver digital transformation where others can’t”.

“I welcome his appointment and believe Peach will not only build on our capabilities, he will further drive our mandate to successfully deliver tangible digital outcomes for our clients.

“Peach’s appointment is in line with the Group’s mission to become a complete digital lifecycle provider delivering business outcomes for our clients from strategy through to sourcing, execution and management of an ever-increasing and complex technology supply chain.”

Peach said, “There’s currently a gap in the market that DLG will address. You can’t transform to digital without transforming your own sourcing and vendor management and this is where we can help.

“Tomorrow's corporate digital sourcing landscape will come from many new suppliers, as innovation is coming from the smaller companies. Commercial constructs are also changing from CapEx to as-a-Service and companies needs to be prepared for this through better budgeting and governance processes.

“Digital transformation is driving a fundamental shift in cost bases and associated skills. I look forward to assisting clients to align their operating models, cost base and suppliers to the digital world.”
