Australian international IT consultancy service, CPT Global (ASX: CGO), has appointed former DBS Bank executive David Lynch as CEO of its Australian and Asian based operations.

Lynch was responsible for all of DBS Bank’s technology & operations in Hong Kong and mainland China and led the creation of Hong Kong's first dedicated Fintech startup accelerator.

Prior to joining DBS, Lynch served as the Chief Information Officer for Standard Chartered in China as well as overseeing Technology and Operations for Consumer Banking in Greater China.

CPT CEO Gerry Tuddenham said Lynch brings 13 years of on-the-ground Asian experience to CPT.

“In this new role, he will accelerate CPT's expansion into Asia as well as manage and transform CPT's Australian operations. David will also assume responsibility for innovation and digital services for the company as a whole, including new products, services and strategic alliances.”

Tuddenham said, "Being a key partner in digitally transforming our clients and capitalising on the growth opportunities in Australia and Asia is critical to our future. We have demonstrated we can compete in Asia with our expert technical knowledge and skills.

“We have a solid pipeline of business already in China and other parts of Asia. Our service offerings are helping give our clients greater assurance that their digital initiatives will succeed.

“I am delighted to secure one of the region's leading innovators and CIOs to join CPT. David's strengths and experience in operations and leading innovation and digital transformation will help ensure we continue to evolve our business ahead of the needs of our customers in this fast changing environment."
