Norris’ appointment coincides with Cashrewards trading on the ASX for the first time last week, following its oversubscribed IPO which “yielded strong support across institutional and retail investors”.
Announcement of Norris’ appointment follows the appointment of Steve Cuda as Cashrewards Chief Product and Marketing Officer in October.
Cashrewards operates at the intersection of technology, e-commerce, rewards and financial services, and its CEO Bernard Wilson said David Norris has been appointed “to drive an ambitious technology and platform development agenda”.
“I am delighted David is joining the business at such an exciting time. He offers more than 20 years’ experience in leadership roles across, leading, innovative and scale-up businesses in the technology sector. Cashrewards will be investing significantly in data-driven platform innovations to further enhance experiences for our members and merchants,” Wilson said.
Most recently, Norris was Chief Technology Officer of Attaché Software where he led a team of developers, testers, product specialists and UX designers to create a “leading-edge software house”.
Prior to Attaché, he worked at leading financial institutions including Insurance Australia Group, Commonwealth Bank and American Express.
“I’m very pleased to be joining Cashrewards at such an exciting time in its journey. I’m very much looking forward delivering an innovative and impactful technology strategy that will help set Cashrewards up for its next phase of growth. We will take an unflinchingly member and merchant-centred approach to our technology investment,” Norris said.
Cashrewards says it provides over 800,000 members with a broad array of cashback offers via more than 1,500 merchant partners including Adidas, Amazon.com.au, Apple, Booking.com, Cellarmasters, Chemist Warehouse, Dan Murphy’s, Dell, Expedia, Myer, Nike, The Iconic, and Microsoft.
