BAE Systems Detica appoints McKenna to APAC post

By

IT security solutions company, BAE Systems Detica, has appointed Erin McKenna as Cyber Operations Director for the Asia Pacific region.

Richard Watson, Managing Director, BAE Systems Detica said McKenna will manage day-to-day business and cyber operations and work closely with clients on projects involving security architecture, security incidents, governance, infrastructure security, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security strategy and policy.

McKenna previously worked as a Principal Consultant in BAE Systems Detica’s Governance, Risk and Compliance group. She moved to Australia from the United States in 2011. Prior to joining BAE Systems Detica, she held the role of Supervisor, Information Systems Security at Computer Sciences Raytheon.

McKenna’s appointment follows the move of Craig Searle into the new role of Head of Cyber Security for BAE Systems Detica in Asia Pacific. McKenna will report to Searle and also becomes a member of BAE Systems Detica’s Australian leadership team.

Watson said: “Erin has proven to be a valuable team player within BAE Systems Detica. She is eager to drive change to improve business performance and just as importantly, to streamline the operational processes for all consultants and regional managers. She will be an excellent asset within the leadership team.

“Erin is passionate about attracting more women to the world of cyber security and information security. She recently launched the Asia Pacific Diversity and Inclusion initiative, which aims to help the company draw talent from broader, more diverse talent pools and follows on from BAE Systems Detica’s global initiative.”

Prior to joining BAE Systems Detica, Erin held the role of Supervisor, Information Systems Security at Computer Sciences Raytheon.
