Cloud data integration specialist Talend has appointed Stu Garrow as its Singapore-based senior vice-president of sales and general manager for Asia Pacific.

"We are delighted to welcome Stu, who has extensive expertise and a deep understanding of the cloud data integration market in Asia Pacific," said Talend chief executive Mike Tuchen.

"Talend expansion in APAC is a success story, we experienced annual growth exceeding 100% year over year and added a new cloud data infrastructure to meet increasing regional demand for Talend Cloud. I am thrilled that Stu has joined to help guide Talend's continued success in the region."

Garrow most recently worked at MuleSoft as global director of channels and alliances after serving as APAC director of channels and alliances for more than four years.

He previously held leadership positions at Tech Inject, Certus Solutions, Software Traction and Agitar Software (acquired by McCabe Software). Earlier in his career he worked in channel management roles at IBM and Rational.

Garrow studied computer science and accounting at the University of South Australia, and more recently completed a Harvard Business School short course in disruptive strategy.

Since 2013 he has served as a mentor for social entrepreneurs at The Hub co-working space in Singapore.
