Ng leads regional security at CA

CA Technologies has announced the appointment of Gene Ng as APJ vice-president for security.

"I am delighted to have someone of Gene's calibre on board to lead our APJ Security business," said APJ president and general manager, Martin Mackay.

"Gene is a seasoned executive in the security industry and has led high-performing and high growth organisations.

"He is joining us at a very exciting time where his extensive experience and expertise, coupled with our industry leading solutions, will help serve our customers' growing security needs while enabling and protecting their organisations."

Ng joins CA from IBM, where he led the ASEAN security business.

He previously held regional and country management positions at Blue Coat Systems, Motorola, 3Com and McAfee, after founding security VAR Sensecurity and starting his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Ng holds a commerce degree from the University of New South Wales.

"Cyber security threats are effectively omnipresent in today's digital landscape, and enterprises need to embed security in the DNA of their software development to drive better business outcomes," he said.

"I am excited to be joining CA Technologies, and I look forward to further strengthening CA's security leadership in the market and helping organisations deliver secure and seamless customer experiences."
