Two new appointees for neutral provider of real-time info services Neustar are claimed to be in order to "drive growth, product innovation, new roadmaps, go-to-market strategies and better security solutions for its customers".

Neustar. The company bills itself as being a "trusted, neutral provider of real-time information services", and it has announced the appointment of Robert J. McKay as general manager of Risk Solutions, and Shailesh Shukla asgeneral manager of Security Solutions.

Building on the Neustar OneID system, the company says: "McKay will drive growth and product innovation, product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies to meet client needs in a globally connected world.

"McKay will report to Neustar senior vice-president of Analytics Solutions Ted Prince. Shukla will oversee the company’s industry leading DDoS, DNS and IP Intelligence solutions including its cyber security operations. He will report to Neustar senior vice-president and chief data and analytics officer, Venkat Achanta."

With a 20-year track record in product development, investment and management, spanning the financial and information services markets, McKay joins Neustar from Accuity, a company focused on payment, risk and compliance technology.

Prince said: “Risk is an important business area for Neustar and one with great potential for growth and innovation.

“Bob has been a key driver in growth and expansion in the global risk and financial services arena. His role as general manager of Risk at Neustar is an extension of his industry expertise – helping access areas where we can differentiate, innovate and expand our leadership position, market footprint and range of solutions. We are delighted to welcome Bob to the Neustar team.”

McKay reciprocated as you'd expect, stating: “Neustar is an impressive company with phenomenal solutions and clients. I look forward to joining an incredible team and hitting the ground running.”

Then we get to Shukla, who is billed as having a "wide ranging technology and business expertise in developing, delivering and scaling cloud-based innovations in mobility, security and infrastructure".

He also has "extensive management know-how overseeing business units generating more than $2 billion annually and leading large, global teams. Shukla joins Neustar from Instart Logic, a high growth software-as-a-service company with a cloud-based platform leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning".

Achanta said: “We are fortunate to have Shailesh take the helm of our Security Solutions team.

“Digital security and performance are two of the most pressing needs of our clients and the industry at large. Shailesh has a more than 20-year track record delivering innovative solutions that address digital performance and security for businesses around the world.”

Likewise, Shukla said: “I am delighted to join Neustar and work with the extraordinarily talented security team to help drive groundbreaking solutions that leverage the company’s unique OneID system."
