Home People Moves Presence of IT appoints new Asia MD

HR and workforce management solutions company Presence of IT has appointed veteran sales and business leader Serene Sia to a newly created role as Managing Director for Asia.

Sia, who is based in Singapore, will report directly to Presence of IT CEO David Brookes.

Brookes says the role has been created with the aim of “strengthening the Asia team and fuelling rapid growth in the region.”

“The timing could not be better for Serene to join our unique organisation. Over the past 12 months, our Asia business has gained momentum in the region as more and more companies look to maximise the value of their HR and HCM services through the cloud.

“Serene is a consummate professional who builds great teams, understands how to put our customers at the core of our business, and knows how to deliver consistent results.  We are delighted to welcome her to our team. Her experience and industry knowledge will certainly be an asset for our business and for our customers.”

Sia is a senior executive with over 20 years of sales and leadership experience in the software industry across the Asia Pacific region and, most recently, was the Vice President Strategic Accounts for Salesforce.com responsible for cloud strategy.

Prior to joining Salesforce, Sia was Managing Director for SAP Malaysia and Brunei.
