YOVO is a mobile service partnering with 500 carriers in 130 countries and based on blockchain and cryptocurrency support. YOVO says you can use its service to pay your mobile bill via cryptocurrency, and you can earn cryptocurrency through shopping, referrals, and other activities. YOVO’s future plans are to release its own 4G network and to introduce virtual SIMs with four additional numbers tied to one device.
With its goal in mind of changing how people interact with mobile services, the announcement YOVO has partnered with Blockpass means people can sign up for mobile phone service from any location at any time while ensuring full data security.
Blockpass says its digital identity application and services brings control back to the user, with a streamlined onboarding process. Users can use the Blockpass app to create, store and manage data-secure digital identities for use over an entire ecosystem of services or token purchases.
"We are committed to driving adoption of blockchain, and mobility is the perfect channel to reach just about everyone on the planet," said Richard Skaife, chief executive and co-founder of YOVO. "Your smartphone is easily the most valuable device in your life and our partnership with Blockpass ensures it is protected from many of the known security and identity issues that mobile users face."
"YOVO is a really exciting partnership for Blockpass," said Blockpass chief executive Adam Vaziri. "The addition of a mobile network is unlike any other partner we have added to our ecosystem to date and brings very exciting possibilities to our network."
Previously Blockpass announced token-trading platform Ethfinex would integrate its solution as part of their product, and a blockchain identity research laboratory in conjunction with Edinburgh Napier University.
