Optus is offering new regional customers 25% off its $59 SIM plan for the first 12 months, the telco says in a statement, adding that this deal, and others, are available until 31 March.

The $59 Optus Choice plan includes 100GB of data, an Optus Sport subscription and unlimited international talk and text to 35 selected countries.

Optus has reduced prices for the Samsung A51 and the iPhone SE for those who also take an Optus plan.

The iPhone SE 64GB is available for half-price while the Samsung A51 is being offered for a quarter of its RRP, if an Optus plan is also taken. The cost of either phone can be paid off over 36 months, interest free using the firm's recently launched device repayment option OptusPay.

Optus Regional chief Marcus Grimes said, “As part of achieving our vision of being Australia’s most loved everyday brand, we are committed to meeting the needs of our customers by offering the latest devices at market leading prices.

“Over the last year more than ever, staying connected for education, work, social and leisure has been of the upmost importance. Optus offering the hottest new devices available can enhance that connectivity and how our customers go about their day to day lives.

“Customers aren’t dreaming when they see we are offering 50% off the iPhone SE device. An iPhone that’s small in size but big on power; making it the perfect option at an outstanding price to keep your kids connected as they start the school year.

“We are continuously looking to roll out our fastest network ever and increase Optus’ network coverage footprint outside metropolitan areas.

"With more than 8000 sites Australia-wide, we are offering real choice and competition for communities and keeping you covered even in some of the most remote parts of the country.

“With these deals offering massive savings for Samsung A51 and iPhone SE devices, there’s no better time for more Australians living in rural and remote parts of the country to switch to Optus and take advantage of our great value network.”
