Huawei adds GT 2 Pro to smartwatch range

Huawei's latest smartwatch – the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro – "effortlessly combines sports and style" according to the Chinese electronics giant.

The $499 Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro features a sapphire glass, a harder and more durable scratch-resistant exterior, a titanium frame, and a ceramic rear case.

Features include more than 100 workout modes including skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and golf driving range, along with existing support for extreme sports, leisure activities, water sports, ball games and snow sports.

Six workout modes are automatically detected.

Among the health tracking capabilities are sleep tracking, stress monitoring, blood oxygen saturation detection, and heart rate monitoring and tracking, real-time heart rate, workout heart rate, high heart rate alert, highest oxygen uptake, and recovery time.

Cosmetically, there are more than 200 watch face options (showing, for example, tide times, constellation, and moon phases), and the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro can be tapped against certain Huawei smartphones to transfer images from the photo gallery to the watch face.
