Charge 5 is Fitbit's first tracker with an EDA sensor to measures stress through changes in the sweat glands on your fingers, along with a stress management score in the Fitbit app.
The device also includes GPS, contactless payments, smartphone notifications, up to seven day battery life, 20 exercise modes, automatic exercise recognition, an estimate of your V02 max, heart rate tracking and soon ECG.
Charge 5 features a new, brighter AMOLED colour display with an always-on display option for added convenience to see your stats or while training.
Along with the Fitbit Sense, Versa 2 and 3, Luxe and Inspire 2, the Charge 5 supports Fitbit Premium's new daily readiness score that analyses various categories of Fitbit data to decide whether you should ramp up the exercise or take things easy.
A variety of bands are available, including lightweight silicone infinity bands, breathable sport bands, plush nylon hook and loop bands, and Horween leather bands.
Charge 5 will cost $269.95, including a six-month Premium membership for new or returning customers.
It can be pre-ordered from Fitbit.com and various retailers including JB H-Fi, Harvey Norman, Amazon, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Bing Lee and Big W. Deliveries are expected to start sometime this spring.
