With approximately 600 people across four states in Australia (Vic, NSW, ACT, Tas) and more than 100 clients, RXP had reached the point where its internal technical environment lacked the critical comprehensive functionality of modern end to end platforms. RXP believes that when people are happy, good things happen, a belief that underpins the company purpose of “Making Happier Humans”. For their people to ‘stay happy and deliver great work’ their internal systems needed to transform.
Ross Fielding, RXP Group’s CEO recalled: “We had gaps in our business needs, we principally wanted to uplift our talent management and performance systems for career coaching, people management and development. The obvious first step was to create a more cohesive and forward-looking experience for our people that enabled them to do more - simply and effortlessly.”
When assessing which solution best suited RXP’s needs, Fielding noted their approach had been to “identify the mid-market leaders who fitted our broad requirements across finance, HCM and projects. Workday was the strongest platform with regards to HCM functionality and given that employee engagement and career management were our highest priority requirements, this was the differentiator that resulted in us choosing Workday”.
Fielding pointed to the investments made by the organisation to enhance its operational and management processes. “This project has further demonstrated that our people are the core of our business and we are investing money and significant effort in building the best experience we can for them. That commitment will be further reinforced as we turn on the learning features of the Workday platform. This will provide access to training and professional development that they've never had before.”
He outlined deploying the Workday solution across several business functions (finance, HCM and projects) is recording a range of benefits for RXP:
- Enhanced performance and career management for RXP people, including career coaching and organisation wide feedback and recognition
- End to end talent attraction, candidate management and digital onboarding of people
- Project planning, tracking and reconciliation, including more accurate profitability reporting due to the integration of Workday HCM
- Integrated project automation to finance functions, leading to faster time to bill and cash conversion
Stephen Jack, Managing Director and Vice President, Workday Australia and New Zealand said: “The RXP purpose of ‘Making Happier Humans’ is made possible because of their focus on fusing research, creativity and technology to deliver solutions that their clients need and want. Workday’s enterprise cloud applications for HCM and Finance helps make that focus a reality.”
Workday has also recently announced the availability of Workday Accounting Center and machine learning (ML)-driven predictive forecasts for Workday Adaptive Planning, as well as additional functionality across its finance offerings, to drive insights, agility, and efficiency and transform the way customers engage with data, bringing new levels of visibility and control to the office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
According to Workday, finance teams today are challenged to achieve greater agility amidst the ever-changing business landscape heightened by the pandemic. Valuable time is spent collecting, reconciling, and validating data instead of delivering trusted insights to the organization. To address these critical challenges, Workday continues to advance its cloud planning and financial management solutions with ML and data management capabilities.
