The new company, Kemeleon China Limited, will be rolling out its services in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China accessing a potential market of over 400 million mobile phone users.
Kemeleon China will develop traditional and simplified Chinese language versions of the Kemeleon website and animated messages. The company aims to have services available in time to meet the demands of Christmas and New Year traffic this year.
'In establishing Kemeleon China, we have positioned ourselves very well to take complete advantage of our technology and make it available to the largest mobile market in the world today.' said Kemeleon's general manager, Zac Jacobs.
The service will operate out of CCC's server facility in Xiamen which has a direct pipe into the China Mobile network.
According to CCC's Managing Director, William Tam, 'Our experience and more importantly in this region, our business connections will ensure a rapid and successful deployment of Kemeleon's excellent technologies. We are confident that the users will absolutely love the compelling and innovative messaging applications.'
