Vertiv picks Shiraz as sales director

By

Digital infrastructure provider Vertiv has appointed LuLu Shiraz to the role of ANZ sales director for product and service.

"Whether it's government, utilities, transport or retail, IT infrastructure is more important than ever before – from the basic administration of service to long-term strategic imperatives," said Vertiv ANZ managing director Robert Linsdell.

"LuLu's appointment is a clear sign we're elevating our role in the ecosystem and developing a more customer-centric business."

Shiraz has worked in the information technology and telecommunications industry for more than 20 years.

She joins Vertiv after a short stint at Oracle as ANZ strategic accounts cloud sales director, which followed five years at Telstra, most recently working as sales director.

Shiraz previously worked in sales management at EMC, Nextgen, Uecomm and AAPT.

Earlier in her career she served as state manager of corporate services at David Jones, and as branch vice president at Washington Mutual Bank.

Shiraz holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from San Francisco State University.

"From smartphones to technology organisations, business-as-usual workloads must be supported along with long-term growth and innovation. Resilient IT infrastructure is the key for the digital future we're building as a region, and around the world," said Shiraz.

"Vertiv is the heartbeat, and our leadership in power, cooling and IT infrastructure makes it a unique company at a pivotal time to help businesses capitalise on their changing work environments and take technology to a whole new level."
