"After an extensive search, we are delighted that Pete has joined us. His unique sales skillset will be key to our growth and expansion plans over the next few years, particularly in relation to consolidating our efforts in the ANZ region before we launch into the US market," said The Yield founder and managing director Ros Harvey.
Sheridan joins The Yield from Agerris, another Australian AgTech, where he led its sales and commercial strategy.
He previously co-founded data analytics specialist Aztec and became managing director for Australia after initially leading the sales and customer teams. When the company was acquired by Information Resources International he was appointed to the role of group managing director.

Sheridan attended St Gregory's Agricultural College in Campbelltown before earning his bachelor's degree (majoring in economics) from the University of Newcastle.
"I am very excited to be joining The Yield, a company that is truly helping the agriculture sector to be more profitable whilst reducing the impact on the environment," he said.
"This next phase of growth for the company will form an important launching pad for international expansion and I'm keen to start delivering on that goal."
