Sheedy joined Fortinet from Speedcast Managed Services, where he served as information security manager.
He previously worked for Context Information Security, CQR, Splunk, Security Infrastructure Solutions, Data Management Australia, Glen Eldon Wines, Secure Data, Mastersoft, BCA and Applied Microsystems.
Sheedy spent 13 years in the Australian Defence Force where he rose to the rank of captain at 5/6 Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment.

He holds a graduate certificate and a graduate diploma in business administration from Swinburne University of Technology, as well as ISO/IEC 27001 certification as a lead auditor.
