Oppen takes top spot at GoDaddy Australia

By

Domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy has appointed Tamara Oppen to the role of Australian managing director.

Oppen joined GoDaddy from Pivot.ly, which she founded.

She previously worked as CEO of Mable, and spent a decade at News Corp, most recently as general manager of News Local.

Earlier in her career, Oppen worked at Clemenger BBDO as a senior account director after woking in advertising sales at mi9 and Pacific Magazines.

She holds a Bachelor of Communication degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors' company directors course.

Oppen is also a non-executive director of St Lucy's School, and chairman of the school's foundation advisory committee.

"As an entrepreneurial startup founder myself, I can relate firsthand to the challenges of running a small business. I am eager to share the benefits of GoDaddy products and services, including our Websites + Marketing tool, with Aussie small business owners and entrepreneurs, as they continue to embrace digital transformation and grow their ventures," said Oppen.

"We're committed to helping customers easily and affordably get online and build thriving businesses with our integrated suite of digital tools, including Website Builder and Online Store.

"We will continue to deepen the value we offer, particularly in the ecommerce space, where we're building seamless, intuitive tools that enable them to sell online around the clock and around the world."
