Australian-listed telecommunications services provider Hubify has appointed former chief financial officer of Hearing Australia, Nick Fitzgerald, as chief financial officer and company secretary.

Hubify (ASX:HFY) says Fitzgerald brings to the company a breadth of senior leadership experience gained across complex organisations including demonstrated capability on strategy development, financial stewardship and business growth across sales and marketing organisations.

Fitzgerald replaces Michael Potts who held the position as company secretary since 2015, and has resigned effective immediately.

Previously, Fitzgerald consulted to healthcare and telecommunications companies in the optimisation of their financial and customer development teams, and also served at Johnson & Johnson Healthcare for 15 years including as the chief financial officer for the Australian and New Zealand consumer business, and as customer excellence director at Janssen Pharmaceuticals.

Hubify says the new CFO role is an expanded role now leading mergers and acquisitions, and company strategy.

Hubify Chairman Anthony Ghattas said: "On behalf of the Board I welcome Nick Fitzgerald to the senior management team at a time when the company is growing both from acquisitions and organically. With his background in larger enterprises, Nick will be able to apply his considerable experience and expertise to scale and extract value from our financial, operating and reporting systems as the business grows in customer size and an expanded product and service offering.”

“The Hubify Board would like to thank Michael Potts for his contribution as CFO and Company Secretary. Michael has been instrumental in navigating the business through IPO, mergers and a company transformation over the last 5 years and we wish him well.”
