Rotbart wears many hats: he is a software architect, engineer, and strategist with experience scaling technology organisations for dynamic fast growth.
As Marketplace chief technology officer, he will forge the ongoing technology direction and development of the platform including reinforcing its engineering, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
In addition, he will be responsible for further product localisation and working with an international partner network to support platform growth as Marketplacer continues to expand its international footprint in North America and Europe.
Rotbart joins Marketplacer with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He was PageUp chief technology officer, and during his eight years with organisation, he led the organisation’s product team to focus on enhancing SaaS-based talent management solutions.
He also owned all aspects of product strategy and management, development, usability, quality, security and operations.
Rotbart was Seek development practice manager where he empowered the company with continuous delivery capability, infusing the organisation with a development culture in support of rapid innovation with modern technology stacks and delivery practices.
He also previously worked in software consultant roles for several organisations including a significant tenure at DiUS Computing consulting for the likes of Sensis, Toyota Australia and Westfield, and in software engineering roles with product companies such as Mercury Interactive (now part of HP) and StoreAge Networking Technologies (now part of Broadcom).
As co-founder at SpringSense, he developed an AI-based search relevancy booster as well as the first application enabling teams to automatically test and track their website’s search quality through the development process and into production.
“Tal Rotbart has that rare mix of exceptional interpersonal and management skills, as well as the technical knowledge and expertise to run a leading-edge technology organisation. He has terrific skills from his experience at high growth Internet companies where he was instrumental in providing the technology vision, strategy and leadership to help the organisations scale from concept through fundraising, acquisitions and beyond,” says Marketplacer founder Jason Wyatt.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team, our customers and industry partners to further accelerate our product development and to ensure we have a north star focused on our customers’ needs and that together we can seamlessly innovate to deliver and make the most of every opportunity,” Rotbart says.
