Mr Bettencourt has over 25 years of experience in building technology companies.
Prior to joining Imperva, Mr Bettencourt was CEO of Coverity until its acquisition by Synopsys.
Previously he was CEO of Verity for ten years until it was acquired by Autonomy. He remained with Autonomy until 2009, serving as senior vice president of special projects, and as CEO of Autonomy Zantaz and Autonomy Interwoven.
Mr Bettencourt sits on the boards of Proofpoint, Blinkx and Formation Data Systems.
