"Dr Hamer brings a freshness of perspective on the different value each generation in a workforce brings to their workplace. In particular, he is a strong proponent that millennials matter.

Hamer is a director at PwC Australia, and is the firm's lead for the future of work.
He is also a sessional academic in the University of Technology Sydney's MBA program.
Before joining PwC, Hamer was an associate director at KPMG Australia, senior manager of workforce planning and performance at Transport for NSW, manager of workforce planning and design at the Commonwealth Department of Social Services, assistant director of workforce planning and analytics at the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, a management consultant at Booz & Co, and a marketing and communications officer at Edith Cowan University.
He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Edith Cowan University, a Batchelor of Business Administration with honours from the Australian National University, and a professional doctorate in public administration from the University of Canberra.
"Disruption is happening at an unprecedented pace. As a nation, we are already falling behind, while organisations are shying away from the necessary conversations," said Hamer.
"The problem is that when we talk about the future of work, we imply that it's tomorrow's problem, something for the next person. But the opportunity, and the need for action is now. Millennials will play a big part, particularly given that up to 75 per cent of Australian workforces will comprise Millennials by 2025."
