CrescoData chooses Cottrell as MD

Platform as a service business CrescoData has appointed Brian Cottrell to the role of managing director.

"As a former client and partner of Cresco, Brian brings an existing knowledge of the CrescoData platform and services as well as deep subject matter expertise, connections, and passion for ecommerce," said CrescoData CEO Anna Trybocka.

"He will be a strong addition to the CrescoData senior leadership team. We are excited to have him lead the team and help drive customer relationships and revenue."

Cottrell joins CrescoData from Maropost Commerce Cloud, where he worked as head of emerging channels.

He previously operated his own ecommerce consultancy, and worked as Nearmap's US customer experience manager.

Cottrell also spent nearly 12 years at eBay, during which time he was responsible for the roll out of the first Australian eBay Fashion Gallery and rose to the position of senior merchant for toys, hobby and dolls.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Cottrell spreads his time between Singapore, Sydney and Salt Lake City.
