Wear it Purple Day on 26 August 2022. is an annual LGBTQIA+ youth awareness day dedicated to fostering and advocating for supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for all young people who identify as sexually and/or gender diverse.

Minus18 is an Australian charity improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth by focusing on leading change, building social inclusion, and advocating for an Australia where all young people are safe, empowered, and surrounded by people that support them.

Minus18 fundraising relationship coordinator Eva Dickson said “We're so thrilled that TPG Telecom is standing with and supporting Minus18 and LGBTQIA+ youth this Wear It Purple Day, and backing our message to queer youth all across Australia - that your identity is awesome!”

Dickson says that from today, customers can head into any of Vodafone’s 272 participating retail stores across Australia and donate to Minus18 via a QR code displayed in store – and donations can also be made via QR code on Vodafone’s website.

All the proceeds raised for Minus18 through Vodafone’s online and retail channels will go towards creating free, safe spaces and events for LGBTQIA+ youth across Australia.
