“This is a great opportunity for our generous donors and corporate partners to come together and double their support of our veteran community,” Soldier On CEO, Ivan Slavich said.
Slavich said the campaign also pays tribute to the incredible work of the Defence and veteran community, acknowledging them and their service in the lead up to Remembrance Day.
“As part of this year’s campaign, we would like to draw attention to the work of our ADF personnel who assist the Australian community, and communities around the world,” Slavich said.
“From war zones to peacekeeping missions, natural disasters to emergency responses and so much more. In sharing these stories, we highlight and celebrate the fantastic work of our current and ex-serving personnel and the diverse operations that bring tremendous support to those in need.”
In support of the matched giving campaign, Soldier On is urging the Australian public to donate during the 24-hour period and create a tribute page where they can honour a friend, loved one or simply pay their respects to our veteran community. Every donation made to tribute pages during Soldier On’s giving day will be matched.
Funds raised through the campaign will go directly to the services that Soldier On provides to the nation’s current and ex-service personnel and their families.
