Qlik offers Data Literacy 2.0 training for data fluency

By

Analytics vendor Qlik has revamped its data literacy program that's designed to help companies upskill their staff at scale.

Qlik's Data Literacy 2.0 program lets organisations start small and then then affordably scale data literacy across their entire workforces.

Importantly, the program is designed to take individuals from data novice to a stage where they can confidently interpret and work with data.

The program supports companies wishing to improve data literacy, and provides instructor-led classes; assessments, certifications, and dashboards; and an online forum allowing peer-to-peer data literacy collaboration across the organisation.

More than 20 self-service courses are offered. The data fundamentals courses are free, while the more advanced data fluency' courses come at extra cost (starting at $250 per student, volume discounts are offered).

"Being data literate can't be a specialist skillset or limited to those with technical ability. Everyone needs to be fluent in data in both their personal and professional lives," said Qlik global head of data literacy Paul Barth.

"As we emerge from global lockdowns and accelerate recovery plans, business leaders need to arm their employees with the skills to succeed in an increasingly digital and data-driven workplace. If they don't, they not only risk losing talent to organisations making greater investments in employee upskilling, but they stand to undermine the future productivity, performance and competitiveness of their business."

Qlik is a founding member of the Data Literacy Project.
