Over the next two weeks, Vodafone has announced that "Lebara, Macquarie Telecom, Hello Mobile, Go Talk and Pivotel Prepaid" will finally join TPG Mobile and Kogan on the Vodafone 4G network.
No more relegated to the world of 3G only, these five MVNOs are sure their customers will hopefully finally 4Give the 4Gettable delay, and finally get with the 4G program.
Vodafone head of wholesale Paul Tierney said the move would mean faster data speeds for customers of those MVNOs.

“We’ve invested billions of dollars in the Vodafone network over recent years, and we’re very pleased to be offering our fast, reliable 4G services to more of our MVNOs,” Tierney said.
“Provided they have a 4G capable device, customers of these MVNOs will be able to enjoy the Vodafone 4G network for browsing the Internet, and streaming, uploading and downloading content.
“Our network achieved a 40% improvement in last year’s CommsDay P3 Mobile Benchmark report 2015 CommsDay, so we’re confident our MVNO customers will have a great experience.”
Vodafone says the "40% improvement claim is based on a comparison of both voice and 4G preferred data performance on the Vodafone network between 2014 and 2015".
Vodafone says 4G is available in all major metro locations and selected regional areas across Australia, and on the following dates, the aforementioned MVNOs will finally get 4G switched on:
- Lebara – 30 June
- Macquarie Telecom – 6 July
- Hello Mobile – 6 July
- GoTalk – 6 July
- Pivotel Prepaid – 6 July
