F5 and Telstra strengthen their services and security solutions

By

American technology company F5 and Telstra have partnered to bolster their services and solutions.

F5’s partnership with Telstra spans 20 years. The ongoing partnership sees F5 provide security and application delivery services to Telstra’s network infrastructure solutions to enhance reliability and security, and help customers realise these benefits.

The partnership creates extended opportunities to deliver more solutions aimed at simplifying operations and digitising organisations.

The combination of F5’s vision for adaptive applications with Telstra’s vision of an adaptive network will pave the way for additional market opportunities, F5 says.

F5 has provided customers and partners with additional software and platform-based solutions focused on API security, bot protection, online identity, and edge computing.

Strengthened by this partnership, F5 now operates secure points of presence (PoPs) in strategic locations. More PoPs in more locations help customers deploy leading application security, DDoS capabilities, and additional services for end users and customers.

“This partnership demonstrates our ongoing investment into the Asia Pacific region as we continue delivering high value services and solutions to our partners and customers,” says F5 senior vice president for APCJ Adam Judd.

“The Asia Pacific region can present a unique set of challenges, and F5’s deep expertise and industry-leading platform agnostic integration capabilities combined with Telstra’s consultative approach, in-depth market analysis, and expansive data has enabled us to establish highly resilient infrastructure supporting F5 Distributed Cloud Services.”

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD & REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY WHITEPAPER

Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds enabling businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control that you can get from your on-premise infrastructure.

Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of compression and data deduplication can reduce your network latency.

Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from US$38.27 billion in 2017 to US$97.64 billion by 2023.

Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while still maintaining physical control of your systems.

Cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can enable you to leverage their low latency high bandwidth connections to the cloud as well as providing a solid connection back to your on-premises corporate network.
