Tech Data launches cloud marketplace in Australia market

US-based ICT services company Tech Data has launched its StreamOne Cloud Marketplace in Australia, following a successful launch in India last month.

StreamOne Cloud Marketplace is a provisioning, billing and end-user lifecycle management digital platform which enables partners to scale, launch and manage a broad range of cloud services, including software-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service.

Partners can also utilise the platform to deliver advanced offerings such as assessment, migration, security and monitoring – enabling what Tech Data says are hassle-free cloud transitions for their customers.

The StreamOne platform, developed by Tech Data, provides partners with the capability to manage the entire end-user lifecycle for consumption – and subscription-based cloud services.

Tech Data says partners can easily leverage tools and resources that enable them to learn about, invest in and manage cloud services. Tech Data’s specialised support makes it easier for partners to efficiently transition their business models as well as unlock vendor and service provider program benefits.

In addition, Tech Data announccd it has just launched a new partner program designed to empower partners in Australia and New Zealand to build or grow their cloud offering as a strategic part of their business model.

According to Tech Data, it is uniquely placed in these markets to support vendors, cloud service providers and managed service providers in a single unified ecosystem. The program encompasses public cloud via StreamOne and Tech Data’s unique billing platform; private and public managed cloud services; value-added solutions; and managed service provider license fulfilment.

Tech Data program members will gain access to a wide variety of benefits to support their success whilst minimising the risks and financial implications associated with cloud adoption, including:

  • Access to all major cloud platforms on one platform;
  • Business, technical and operational support;
  • Access to Tech Data’s 24/7 solutions support team based in Sydney;
  • Training, workshops, tools and learning resources; and
  • Increasing rewards as partners progress through each program tier: Stratus, Atlus and  Cirrus.

“We are thrilled to now offer the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace to our partners and vendors locally,” said Wendy O’Keeffe, country general manager, Australia and New Zealand at Tech Data.

“Right now partners can use the platform to access Microsoft O365 and Azure services along with simple management and billing capabilities. In the coming months, we’ll be bringing on additional leading and niche cloud solutions from our world-class vendors. Also, by joining our Cloud Partner Program, partners gain access to benefits like support, tools, training and rewards--all designed to take their cloud business into the stratosphere.”
