Billed as an event event created by technologists for technologists, XConf is in its fifth year and this year will kick-off in Sydney on 16 August, followed by Melbourne on 18 August, and concludes in Brisbane on 23 August.
In a robust agenda of talks, local thought leaders and Thoughtworks technologists will share first-hand experiences and exchange new ways to empower teams, deliver quality software and drive innovation for responsible tech.
This year the two keynote addresses will be delivered Thoughtworks director of Emerging Technologies, Andy Nolan, and guest speaker Luke Hargreaves, global sustainability business advisor, Amazon Web Services.
Guest speaker Luke Hargreaves will start proceedings with the morning keynote titled "Architecting for sustainability: the why's and how's of green technology" will explore the best practices and guardrails to designing more sustainable architectures.
Andy Nolan's afternoon keynote, titled "The next big thing in machine learning is tiny" imagines a world where compute is decentralized and power efficient with privacy built-in. A world where devices with a micro footprint have a macro impact.
In addition to the two keynote addresses, a team of 17 Thoughtworks consultants will be on hand to deliver six sessions on various aspects of technology development, concluding with an expert panel discussion with seven Thoughtworks consultants inviting the audience to "ask us anything!"
And last but not least, at the conclusion of the event all participants XConf will have the opportunity to network with each other as well as the Thoughtworks presenters.
