Fitbit makes Sense, Versa 3 and Inspire 2 available now in Australia

With Apple's latest smartwatches now available, Oppo's coming soon, and more smartwatches than you can poke a stick at online, even from Kogan with its own branded models, there's plenty of choice, but with Fitbit now making its 2020 range available in store, a lot of its fans will be very happy.

Fitbit’s three latest devices, including the company’s most advanced health smartwatch to date, are now available in Australia. The smartwatch market has never been more active or advanced, and while Apple has taken the lion's share of market share and profits, Fitbit remains a very active challenger.

Widely available across Australian retail, you can find them at Fitbit's website, and at "select retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Amazon, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Bing Lee and Big W."

So, what are some more of the details?

Fitbit Sense – A$499.95

Billed as "Fitbit’s most advanced health smartwatch", you're getting its most advanced and "innovative sensor and software technology with the world’s first electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor on a smartwatch to help manage stress.

"Fitbit Sense also offers advanced heart rate tracking technology, a new ECG app (which sadly is still pending applicable regulatory clearances for Australians), Fitbit Pay and Music – all powered by 6+ days’ battery life and a six-month free trial of Fitbit Premium."

Now’s the Time for 400G Migration

The optical fibre community is anxiously awaiting the benefits that 400G capacity per wavelength will bring to existing and future fibre optic networks.

Nearly every business wants to leverage the latest in digital offerings to remain competitive in their respective markets and to provide support for fast and ever-increasing demands for data capacity. 400G is the answer.

Initial challenges are associated with supporting such project and upgrades to fulfil the promise of higher-capacity transport.

The foundation of optical networking infrastructure includes coherent optical transceivers and digital signal processing (DSP), mux/demux, ROADM, and optical amplifiers, all of which must be able to support 400G capacity.

With today’s proprietary power-hungry and high cost transceivers and DSP, how is migration to 400G networks going to be a viable option?

PacketLight's next-generation standardised solutions may be the answer. Click below to read the full article.
