Naturally, DiDi is doing its upmost to make as big a splash as possible with the AFL partnership, exuberantly overshadowing its well known ride share competitors while sweetening the deal with a stack of discounts for new users that are outlined below
As you'd expect, DiDi has ensured its deal is as tempting as possible for footy fans wanting to use the service and get to and from the 2018 Toyota AFL Grand Final, with the creation of "dedicated DiDi pick-up and drop-off zones conveniently placed around the MCG".
The red carpet is rolled out further with the "DiDi Dome" installation, which will also feature as part of the Footy Festival between Gate 2 and 3 at the MCG, where fans will be supplied fans with phone-charging points, refreshments, giveaways and comfortable seating.

DiDi is also "giving away a 2019 AFL Silver Membership to one rider every day of Grand Final week", and entering the competition is as easy as you'd want it to be – just take a DiDi ride in the week of the Grand Final, with more details below.
So, what's in the $100 gift pack for new customers, and what are all the other details?
Well, we're told that the $100 "gift pack" for new DiDi customers downloading the DiDi-Rider app from now until 30 September will have the following vouchers automatically added to their DiDi account (with terms and condition in the app):
- One voucher that gives 50% off one ride up to a max saving of $10, expires in seven days;
- Two vouchers that each give 40% off one ride up to a max saving of $10, expires in 14 days;
- Two vouchers that each give 30% off one ride up to a max saving of $20, expires in 28 days; and
- Two vouchers that each give 20% off one ride up to a max saving of $20, expires in 28 days.

"In the week leading up to the Grand Final, anyone who completes a ride with DiDi will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of five AFL Silver Memberships for a club of their choice in 2019.
"Winners will be announced daily via DiDi’s social media. An AFL Silver Membership gives a fan access to up to 40 matches at the MCG and Marvel Stadium, as well as access to select Finals matches next season."
The details of the competition are that it "begins on 23 September at 18:00 and finishes on 28 September at 18:00. One winner will be chosen at random each day and the winner will be announced on DiDi’s Facebook Page.
