Getac adds F110-EX to 'intrinsically safe' rugged tablet lineup

Getac's latest fully-rugged Windows tablet is designed for hazardous environments such as mines, oil and gas fields, and chemical plants.

The "intrinsically safe" Getac F110-EX Windows tablet is certified for use in ATEX and IECEx Zone 2/22 hazardous environments.

This variant of the existing F110 fully-rugged tablet is aimed at professionals working in or around hazardous environments.

It features an 11th generation Intel Core processor with integrated Iris Xe Graphics, PCIe NVMe SSD storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 4G LTE, Thunderbolt 4, and an 11.6in LumiBond 2.0 screen boasting exceptional brightness and readability.

Safety features include rubber coverings on all ports, guide pins and exposed metal parts; enclosed connectors; and screen protection.

Ruggedness is also important in industrial environments. The F110-EX is certified to MIL-STD-810H and IP66, with drop resistance from four feet and an operating temperature range of -21C to +60C.

It comes with a three-year warranty that even covers accidental damage.

"Worker safety must always be a top priority and stringent standards like ATEX & IECEx serve as a strong benchmark for organisations operating in particularly hazardous sectors," said Getac president Rick Hwang.

"Getac's extensive range of fully rugged, ATEX and IECEx Zone 2/22 certified tablets demonstrates our ongoing commitment to worker safety, while also providing customers with a choice of solutions that help them to meet their own unique needs and challenges."
