Job advertisements on the online portal SEEK dropped by 4.7% year-on-year in March, but the average advertised salaries went up by 2.6%, the company said on Thursday.
Jobs advertisements on the online site SEEK fell by 3.6% in February compared to the corresponding figure a year ago, the company said, adding that on the plus side advertised salaries in all Australian states went up by 3.2%.
The ICT industry was the second strongest contributor to job ad growth across Australia in 2018, with job ads up 12% last year compared to 2017, according to the latest employment report from online jobs board SEEK which also showed that across all industries the average advertised salary was up by 3.9% in 2018.
