Job advertising increased markedly in May, with South Australia showing the largest job ad growth out of all states in the month, according to the latest jobs advertising report from recruitment firm SEEK.
Unsurprisingly, the number of online job advertisements have taken a mighty tumble in April, with the website SEEK reporting that ads fell 65.5% year-on-year and 49.9% compared to the March 2020 figures.
National job listings on the online site SEEK declined by 65.3% during the week that ended on 5 April, the company says, adding that it had decided to issue data about ads out of its regular monthly schedule due to the massive decline that was happening due to the coronavirus pandemic.
