Germany has tightened security criteria for all vendors who supply telecommunications equipment to the country's telcos, avoiding any friction with Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies.
In its latest bid to make the rest of the world avoid the use of equipment from Chinese telecommunications outfit Huawei Technologies, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has told the Fox Business Network that Washington would not partner, or share information, with any country that used the Chinese firm's gear in its 5G networks.
