Data usage hits a high on Telstra mobile network

Mobile phone and mobile device users flooded Telstra’s mobile network with 76% more data this year that they did in 2015, with the time of the power outages that blacked out much of South Australia topping the telco’s list for data usage in a 24-hour period.

The 112-page report into the failed 2016 census, tabled by the Senate Economics Reference Committee on Thursday, presumably brings to an end — for the year at least — the unedifying tale of how bureaucrats and tech firms bungled what should be an orderly count of the populace.
