Two major US allies in the Persian Gulf have apparently ignored Washington's advice about not using equipment from Chinese vendor Huawei in their 5G networks and signed deals with the company.

The company that is under the US gun, Huawei Technologies, has bitten back, saying it is ironical that while the US keeps flinging evidence-free charges of spying at the Chinese firm, Washington passed a law last year that makes it possible for it to access data in any branch of an American company located overseas.

NetComm pushes 5G self-install tech at MWC

NetComm Wireless director of Marketing and Communications Els Baert has told MWC 2019 in Barcelona that operators will need to deploy self-installation technology to deliver successful 5G fixed wireless services.
