Smartphone sales in China during the first quarter of 2020 fell by 22% year-on-year, the biggest decline experienced by the country so far, but sales of 5G smartphones rose by 120%, the analyst firm Counterpoint Research says.
Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has taken the second spot in the global smartphone market again, achieving the highest year-on-year growth among the top five vendors in the first quarter of 2019, with sales rising 44.5%, the technology research firm Gartner says.
