Can an SSD breathe new life into a netbook?

I've owned a Toshiba NB300 netbook for a few years, and I still take it on business trips. I chose this model largely because its keyboard is full sized - at least in terms of the key pitch - as I have trouble adapting to the more tightly spaced keys found on many other netbooks and tablet accessory keyboards.

Laptop FAIL: 31% in 3 years, anyway

A study by third-party warranty provider SquareTrade has found that nearly one out of three laptops fail in the first three years, though a third of that total is due to accidents. Overall, Asus laptops have the fewest malfunctions, and HPs have the most.

Netbooks growing twice as fast as notebooks

According to a new report, the market for netbook computers grew 40 percent from the first to the second quarter of 2009, almost twice the rate of standard notebooks. Netbook shipments actually outstripped notebooks in Latin America and Greater China.

Nokia to jump into netbook market

Apparently unwilling to cede the small, portable computer market to PC manufacturers, small portable phone manufacturer Nokia has announced that it will introduce a netbook computer. The device will be able to access Nokia's Ovi mobile services as well as standard Web offerings.
