Materials used in future 5G networks will be different and more diverse and there will be rapid growth in demand for low-loss materials in 5G according to research firm IDTechEx.

Scientists from Georgia Tech have found a way to reliably harvest the energy from 5G at 28Ghz, overcoming antenna problems that previously required such solutions to be within line of sight of a tower.
