New Zealand telco Spark says Invercargill has become the 25th mobile site capable of achieving the fastest mobile data speeds in the country, with 4.5G now switched on in three sites across the city.
Although Exetel is the first Optus Wholesale customer to offer the "Home Wireless Broadband" router, the company clearly expects more of its MVNOs to offer such a service.
The cost of a SIM-only mobile phone plan for unlimited talk and text per 28 days with 1GB of Optus-powered 4G data has fallen to $10, while those wanting the same deal but with 2.5GB data will pay just $20.
