A Windows user has got around Microsoft's latest effort to force users of older Windows versions to upgrade to Windows 10.
Figures released by Microsoft show that Windows 10 installed base has fallen since December 2016 while the share enjoyed by Windows 7 has risen.
Microsoft has unveiled its latest method to make users of Windows 7 and 8/8.1 upgrade to Windows 10, by making updates unavailable if users of these versions of Windows are running on systems which use the latest processors.
