NASA considers American Student Moon Orbiter

The ASMO (American Student Moon Orbiter) concept would be a series of student-led projects geared to provide space exploration experience to students at universities. NASA is asking universities to let them know if their students are interested in helping the United States explore the Moon.

Linux powered robot can play clarinet

The University of New South Wales, in conjunction with NICTA, has won first place in an international technology competition. With a Linux powered robot that can play the clarinet. The team beat off stiff competition from a Dutch guitar playing robot and Finnish robot pianist to win the Artemis Orchestra competition.
