Making software more consistent has clear benefits, according to Tibco chief operating officer Matt Quinn, but he also thinks we need major changes in the way software works if we are to take full advantage of technologies such as AI.
Announced last September, Tibco Labs is the software company's mechanism for collaborative research and development with its customers and partners.
"Innovation is fun," Tibco chief marketing officer Nelson Petracek told attendees at the company's Tibco Now 2019 conference in Singapore this week. It maintains an organisation's competitiveness, provides its customers and partners with better goods and services, and generally makes the world a better place.
