Telemarketing company Lead My Way has fallen foul of the Do Not Call rules governing unsolicited telemarketing calls, paying a penalty of $285,600 for an infringement following an investigation by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) have joined hands to take up the fight against unwanted telemarketing and emarketing.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority is considering possible changes to the rules and regulations governing telemarketing and research calls, including providing greater clarity to assist consumers receiving the calls.
