Global 5G and telco equipment maker Ericsson and US telco T-Mobile have announced a "multi-year, $3.5 billion contract to support T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network deployment".
T-Mobile, the third mobile network in the US, has signed what is the world's biggest 5G deal to date, a US$3.5 billion deal for Finnish firm Nokia to supply it with 5G network equipment.
US politicians want the government to investigate the somewhat tenuous links between telco Sprint and Chinese company Huawei as it considers a proposed merger between Sprint and T-Mobile.
