An American official has told India it needs to shut out Chinese vendors Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corporation from the country's forthcoming 5G trials and also remove the companies' gear from other networks.

Sweden bans Huawei, ZTE from role in 5G networks

Sweden has become the second country in Europe — the UK was the first — to openly state that it will not be allowing the use of gear from Chinese telecommunications equipment vendors Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corporation in its 5G networks.
