The number of job advertisements declined markedly in Australia in April, with the Information and Technology sector hit by a 6.4% drop in jobs advertised nationally, according to a new report from Australia's largest jobs board.
Job advertisements on the online portal SEEK dropped by 4.7% year-on-year in March, but the average advertised salaries went up by 2.6%, the company said on Thursday.
Jobs advertisements on the online site SEEK fell by 3.6% in February compared to the corresponding figure a year ago, the company said, adding that on the plus side advertised salaries in all Australian states went up by 3.2%.
